Account Change-Overs

I want to change over my account

It is very important that the change-over is clean and uncomplicated. Please request the registered e-mail address of the account given and change this address and the password when you get it. The User who is giving his account away has to provide the new owner with the registered e-mail address. Without this address, a clean and safe change-over is not possible as the new owner will not be able to change the e-mail address and hence the password.

What happens when the change-over goes wrong?

The Tag Team will take no responsibility if anything in the change-over goes wrong. Please remember change-overs are not endorsed by the Tag Support Team, only tolerated. We are not complied to give the new owner the registered e-mail address of the account.

If the new owner does not have the registered e-mail and hence cannot change it and the password, then the original owner can return and take the account back at any time. This is not considered account hijacking.

Is the original owner allowed to take his account back when his address is still registered?

Yes! The player, whose e-mail address is registered, owns the account and he can come back at any time. That is of course not pleasant however it cannot be changed.

Will the Support Team give the registered e-mail address to the new owner?

No! We do not support these change overs. E-mails can only be changed if we have confirmation from the orginal owner who can provide the regestired e-mail address.

Conclusion

When you are changing over accounts, you should insist on the registered e-mail address. You should change this address while you are still in contact with the player (ICQ, MSN, etc) just in case there was a typo error when he gave you the address and you cannot change it yourself.

Alternately you could give the former owner your address and he could change the address for you. However you would have to change the address again once the change over was completed so that the former owner does not know your registered address.

Changing over accounts is not safe. Especially when you do not know the player personally so insist on the registered e-mail address and take screen shots of all PMs, Ebay pages, MSN posts etc to protect your new account. This will help, should you decide to report this fraud to a higher authority.

If something goes wrong in this change over, you will have to go back directly to the original owner. The Tagoria Team cannot help you if you do not have the correct registered e-mail.

These transactions are between players and we do not have any involvement in them. Assistance from the Tagoria team regarding such matters is not offered.

Please note the changes made to the above post.

A decision has been made by the game admins that account change overs are no longer supported by the Tagoria Team in any way. Absolutely no assistance is offered.

Please be aware of this before changing over accounts. I cannot emphasise the risks of doing these transactions enough. Please, please be careful!!
